An Introduction to the Unashamed Man
Our Why: Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)
My name is Kyle Pribilski, I'm an imperfect, 50 year old Christian man, husband, father, son, friend... Most importantly, I'm unashamed of my God, of being a christian man, loving Jesus, or of proper headship of my family. I'm tired of playing church, I want to know Jesus, I want to spend serious time in the bible getting to know my father and encourage you to do the same. I believe as a group (Men) we have lost our path and God wants us back, He's currently going to great lengths to get our attention.
I've known God my entire life, I was raised in the Lutheran Church, I became evangelical at the age of 21, joined the Catholic church at the age of 31 (marriage) and left the Catholic church at the age of 37 (also marriage). I church hopped until the age of 44 when I finally settled back into an Acts 29 church with my wife Christine. We live just outside of Austin, TX. I've been married to Christine for 9 years, together we have five kids, a bonus son, three grandkids, four dogs, a house and a little bit of land. I'm an avid outdoorsman, and am currently starting a new business to focus my efforts there and God has called me to launch this ministry with Christine. I'm extremely blessed and feel like I've lived my life under the hand of God even when I felt far from him.
In the summer of 2022 God started pressing me to move my family to another church for the purpose of equipping and change for our youngest son Mark. God wants this kid, watching God relentlessly pressure and pursue Mark, change his character and convict him, as a dad, is one of the most awesome things I've ever seen. Through this process, God led us to a young growing church plant, Zao Church, in Spicewood, TX where we are now active members and the three of us serve weekly in various capacities under the headship of our pastors Jared Lyons and Dustin Sample (I invite you to visit and worship with my family) And, I also remain under my spiritual father and a man I deeply love, Bob Long the Head Pastor of Bastrop Christian Fellowship.
I wanted to start this blog for a few main reasons:
- God has called me
- Share personal experiences from my journey to freedom in God
- Talk about being a man in a fallen world full of temptation, evil and craziness
- Provide encouragement, resources and support for other men in their walk
- Share the Gospel of Jesus and evangelize
